Mission Statement

Mission Statement

Our original mission was to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every Maasai in East Africa! Now, 25 years later, it has been estimated that more than 1 million Maasai have heard the Gospel through the Ministry of Faith Evangelical Free Church – Kenya, Bishop Daniel Osoi and his Pastors. True to our original focus, we have always desired ministry development in Tanzania. There are estimated to be more Maasai in Tanzania than Kenya, most of whom have never heard the Gospel of Christ. They remain animist in their beliefs. We have not been able to accomplish establishing a ministry in Tanzania.  Tanzania is a very large country and it would be difficult to support the ministry, both physically and financially. It is believed that the Gospel message would travel through the Maasai communities and be so positively received that we are concerned we would not be able to support that growth. Bishop Daniel believes that in a very short time, the Tanzanian side of the Ministry would equal the Kenyan Ministry. He did not wish to start that venture and not be able to follow through, growing and supporting his teams. Currently Bishop Daniel and Pastor Joseph Riton go to remote areas of Tanzania (a 2-day drive into the country) annually and hold meetings that last a week or more. All that being said, taking the Gospel to every Maasai in East Africa remains our primary mission.
